 Washington, DC - September 27, 2007 - Band(B&)Recordings, an independent record company, part of the Doghouse Records family, announced today the signing of the Israeli-melodic punk rock band MAN ALIVE. It was only a handful of years ago that melodic punk rock bands were the backbone of the punk rock music industry. Before the “guyliner”, fifty dollar faux-hawks, and designer pants, we rocked out to bands like Good Riddance, Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Strung Out, and of course NOFX. Bands that were simple in their appearance, but complex in their energy-filled live shows, powerful musicianship, compelling melodies, and intriguing lyrics that weren’t necessarily always about love and heartbreak. Man Alive takes the unforgettable punk rock sound we’re all familiar with and adds all the addictive melodic elements we sing along to today. Representing Jersusalem, this 4-piece group has already established a loyal following after playing the 2006 Take Action Tour (Silverstein, The Early November) and having just come off a tour with NOFX and Useless ID. In 2007 they entered the studio with producer/ engineer Jamie Woolford (Let Go, The Stereo) to record the follow-up to their Militia Group full-length “Open Surgery” which was produced by Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, Motion City Soundtrack).
